Prof. Nana Usman Bature is a Lecturer in Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Abuja. She was born in 1967 in Gombe, Gombe State. She started her early education at Kofar Nasarawa Primary School, Bauchi and attended Government Girls Secondary School Bauchi.
She obtained a Diploma in Insurance, B.Sc Business Administration and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State and a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Abuja.

Prof. Nana Usman Bature has wide range of teaching experiences in Introduction to Business, Business Communication, Human Resource Management and Small Business Management. She has many publications in National and International Journals among which include; Abuja Journal of Administration and Management, Abuja Management Review, Journal of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, A.B.U Journal of Business Administration, International Journal of forum for African Women Educationalist and European Journal of Business Management  among others. She has written and published books titled "Business Communication: An introductory Text", another titled, "Human Resource Management" and currently "Advanced Human Resource Management."

A member of professional bodies, Associate Professor Nana Usman Bature possessed membership of National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), the International Institute for the Study of Election and Election Management (IISEEM), the National Association of Women Academics (NAWACS), the Academy of Management Nigeria and a Fellow, Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (IBDFM) and Institute of Corporate Administration (FCAI).
Professor Nana Usman Bature is happily married with children.
